On September 15, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced this yearโ€™s grantees through the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program.ย

Congratulations to the many entities in the Hampshire, Franklin, Worcester district which have been awarded grant funding this cycle.ย

In 2025, the program was expanded to include funding targeted for rural and small towns, ensuring that every community has the tools it needs to meet the challenges of changing climate, as we grapple with hotter summers, stronger storms, and record flooding.ย

On October 9, I joined Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Senator Paul Mark, Representative Lindsay Sabadosa, and many others at the announcement in Williamsburg where a golf course will be re-wilded.ย
