Rachel KleinPolicy and Constituent Services Director
Pronouns: She, her, hers

Rachel Klein grew up in Oakland, California and moved to Massachusetts to attend Tufts University where she majored in Environmental Studies and Religion. As a Tisch Scholar at Tufts, Rachel had the opportunity to intern with organizations such as Groundwork Somerville and MassINC, prompting her passion for responsive government and equitable community development. Following graduation, Rachel worked on State Senator Becca Rausch’s reelection campaign and then worked as a project coordinator at Housing Navigator MA to reform and simplify the affordable housing search process for renters.

In Senator Comerford’s office, Rachel helps constituents navigate bureaucracy and access services and benefits by liaising with state agencies on constituents’ behalf, referring constituents to direct-service organizations, and demystifying the work and processes of state government. Rachel also directs the office’s work on food and farm policy, leading the Senator’s agriculture committee and commission work and working with advocates to advance priority legislation.

Rachel lives in Somerville, and in her free time you can find her cooking dinner with her partner, biking along the Charles, or re-watching a TV sitcom for the 30th time.
