Harm Reduction Discussion Panel

Deaths from drug overdose are common, increasing in our local communities, and a leading cause of death in America.

Join us for a discussion panel on ideas and interventions that can help empower people who use drugs to better prevent fatal overdoses from happening to themselves or those around them. Panel will define Harm Reduction, discuss bill(s) regarding narcotics testing products, Safer Injection Facilities, the DART Program (a Hampshire County Law Enforcement initiative to provide post overdose follow up) and Narcan access.

Panelists: State Senator Jo Comerford, Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan, State Representative Tami Gouveia, Tapestry’s Director of Harm Reduction Liz Whynott, and advocate for harm reduction and overdose prevention sites Cara Moser.
