DOER SMART Program Review
September 5, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Representatives Natalie Blais, Mindy Domb, and Senator Jo Comerford will host the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) in Amherst to present their review of the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) Program and accept public comment on the new regulations.
The SMART Program is the newest program established to support and incentivize the development of solar in Massachusetts. In accordance with the regulations that established the SMART program, the Department of Energy Resources must undertake a review of the program once 400 megawatts of solar capacity have been accepted into the program. The Department of Energy Resources recently completed its review, and at the invitation of Representatives Natalie Blais and Mindy Domb, and Senator Jo Comerford members of DOER’s Renewable Energy Division will hold a stakeholder meeting in Amherst to present their findings and take public comment.
More information about the SMART Program can be found here.
Public comments can be submitted electronically to DOER.SMART@mass.gov, with the subject “400 MW Review Public Comments.” Comments should be submitted to DOER by Friday, September 20, 2019.
