In 2016, the Nevada Project was launched – a community-based health system that maximizes the potential of individualized health care through its compilation of genetic, environmental, and individual health data and information Through a partnership between Renown Institute for Health Innovation and the Desert Research Institute, 10,000 members of the Nevada community volunteered to have their genetic DNA mapped – culminating in an analytically0-driven health platform that identified community-wide health risks ranging from disease and illness to the effects of environmental factors such as air and water quality. Advanced analytics and artificial intelligence from the project continue to benefit citizens and researchers alike.
