Drastic action must be taken immediately to address global warming. My constituents have made clear their desire to see the state take immediate action to reduce carbon emissions, increase carbon sequestration, and to create a Green New Deal in Massachusetts. I have filed legislation that will enhance the ability of soil to sequester carbon dioxide, prevent the construction of unnecessary gas infrastructure, modernize our energy grid, and reduce the costs and wait time for interconnecting renewable energy stations. These proposals, when taken together with the proposals of my colleagues that I have co-sponsored, will transition our economy to running on green energy while creating high-wage jobs that allow everyone to share in the economic boost of these efforts.
