DESCRIPTION:Join Hatfield HEADS Up for a panel discussion on keeping our communities safe and preventing violence. \nNorthwestern District Attorney David Sullivan will moderate a panel discussion on the ramifications of school violence\, the impact of school shooting drills on students\, how schools and parents can help young people cope with regular school shooter drills and fear of violence\, the status of gun related legislation in Massachusetts\, and how communities can balance fun rights with community safety. The Listening Sessions give local residents and organizations a chance to address members of their legislative delegation at one time. \nThis session will focus on regional requests for the FY 2021 Budget. The intent of this listening session is for the State Senator and State Representatives to allow their constituents the opportunity to advocate for funding support from their Beacon Hill representatives simultaneously. \nLegislative Listening Sessions are 30-minute meetings between the legislators and constituent groups whose work spans the region.
