DESCRIPTION:The Joint Committee on Public Health will hold a hearing on bills relating to patient safety and quality\, health equity\, and pharmacy\, including the below bill filed by Senator Comerford. The full list of bills can be viewed on the hearing page. \n\n\n\nBill\nBill Title\nSponsor\n\n\n\n\nS.1388\nAn Act establishing health equity at all levels in government\nJo Comerford\n\n\n\nWe invite you to submit testimony and/or testify on bills you care about. Testimony on bills in this hearing should be addressed to Committee Co-Chairs Senator Jo Comerford and Representative Marjorie Decker. \nThose who wish to testify\, submit written testimony\, or both\, may sign up and/or submit written testimony by completing and submitting this form. Persons who do not have a Google account or do not wish to use the Google form can submit testimony and/or sign up to testify by emailing JointCommittee.PublicHealth@malegislature.gov. \nPersons planning to testify live at the hearing must sign up no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday\, October 26. For those who have signed up to testify\, Legislative Information Services will provide a link to join the public hearing. Individuals testifying should limit their remarks to 3 minutes. All panels should limit their testimony to a total of 6 minutes. Constituents planning to testify are encouraged to alert Sen. DESCRIPTION:Please join the Joint Committee on Mental Health\, Substance Use\, and Recovery for a training on the administration of Narcan.  \nIn light of the epidemic of overdoses and increase in overdose deaths during the pandemic\, advocates will provide much needed information on how to administer Narcan in the event of an overdose.
