SUMMARY:Joint Committee on the Election Laws Hearing
DESCRIPTION:The Joint Committee on the Election Laws will hold a bill hearing which will include the following bill filed by Senator Comerford as well as a home rule petition for the town of Warwick. The full list of bills can be viewed on the hearing page. \n\n\n\nBill\nBill Title\nSponsor\n\n\n\n\nS.456\nAn Act allowing individuals to protect their voter information\nJo Comerford\n\n\nH.3990\nAn Act granting noncitizen permanent residents in the town of Warwick the right to vote in municipal elections\nSusannah M. Whipps\n\n\n\n  \nWe invite you to submit written testimony and/or testify on bills you care about. Testimony on bills in this hearing should be addressed to Committee Co-Chairs Senator Barry Finegold and Representative Daniel Ryan. \n  \nIndividuals who wish to testify\, may sign up through this form. For individuals who have signed up to testify\, the committee will provide a link to join the public hearing. Individuals planning to testify must sign up no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday\, October 18\, 2021. Oral testimony will be limited to 3 minutes\, but longer statements will be accepted by written testimony until Friday\, October 22 at 5:00 p.m. Constituents planning to testify are encouraged to alert Sen.
